This RWJF-supported study, sought to develop a communication tool to facilitate cost-of-care conversations between clinicians and patients when considering care and treatment options. Our aim was to improve transparency of the out-of-pocket costs likely to be incurred by pregnant women throughout the prenatal, delivery and postpartum stages.
What we did:
-
Secondary & primary research
( semi-structured interviews, participatory design, contextual inquiries)
-
Prototyping using projective techniques
-
Analysis and Synthesis
My role:
I conducted field research, involving clinicians and patients. And worked on the prototype that was tested and refined with stakeholder feedback.
